Frank mijn neef Frans mijn zwager en ik hebben in Augustus 2005 de Edinburgh Tattoo bezocht en er tegelijk een paar leuke dagen en een tochtje naar de zoom van de Highlands aan vast geplakt. Genoten dat we hebben. In 2009 bezochten we samen met onze partners Glasgow , The Highlands en Skye. We logeerden in Glasgow waar we een upgrade kregen aangeboden in dit goed hotel. Doordat we nieuwe matrassen kregen hebben we ook goed geslapen. Dit was een grote verbetering. Een aardig eetcafe erbij waar ook muziek wordt gemaakt hoort bij dit kleine midden in het centrum van Glasgow gelegen hotel. Zeer vriendelijk personeel ; absoluut een hotel om naar terug te keren als je in Glasgow moet zijn. We maakten een tour naar Skye met Timberbush Tours onder een uitstekende leiding van Colin. Een echte Schot die ons 3 dagen lang liet zien waarom hij zo trots was op Scotland. Vreemd dat Bonny Prince Charly op 100 km afstand van Londen besloot om te draaien. Het zal toen ook al wel om geld en macht zijn gegaan.

In 2005 we visited Edinburgh. This year we will visit Glasgow en join in for a tour to Skye and a part of the Highlands of Scotland. We have chosen Timberbush Tours. We are looking forward to make this 3 - day tour with them and will make a small journal of this small journey. Our last night will be in Prestwick Guest House near Prestwick Airport.

In 2009 we have visited Glasgow , The Highlands and Skye together with our girls. Glasgow George Square In Glasgow we have stayed in The Brunscwick where we were offered an upgrade by this excellent small roomed hotel. Because of the new matresses we also slept very well. A nice eating place also with sometimes live music in the middle of Glasgow centre. Very kind staff and personal ; absolutely a hotel to go back for when you have to stay in Glasgow. We made a 3 day tour to The Highlands and Skye with Timberbush Tours, which company arranged a very high quality B&B in Portree owned by Mrs. Mac Donald who made us a fantastic Scottisch breakfast the 2 days we stayed with her family. A great tour under the excellent leadership of Colin. As we think a real proud Scot showing us his country in such a small preiod. We were very happy with him. Thanks again for this great small and reasonable priced tour. The only strange thing i remember is that i do not understand is that Bonny Prince Charly decided to turn around being only 100 miles away from London. I think that too was more about money and power of those so called advisors which probably will be still in real power nowadays!
